Job Opportunity: Lorry Driver (7.5 Tonnes)

Location: Staines

Working Pattern
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Approx. 07:30 AM - 17:30 PM (subject to delivery schedule)
  • Pay: £14.80 per hour
What's the Role About?

As a Lorry Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our valued clients. You will also assist with various warehouse operations. If you're passionate about driving and enjoy a hands‑on role, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving & Delivery: Operate a 7.5‑tonne lorry safely and efficiently. Deliver goods to various locations, maintaining a professional and timely service. Load and unload goods, ensuring secure handling and packaging. Follow planned delivery routes and schedules diligently. Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. Comply with traffic laws and company driving policies.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist with receiving, storing, and organising inventory. Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment. Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
What We're Looking For
  • A valid UK driver's licence with entitlement to drive 7.5‑tonne vehicles.
  • Proven experience as a lorry driver.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
