Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join the Starline Team in Reading, UK. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the transportation management of completed customer orders in accordance with the regulatory guidelines of governing bodies from the UK plant to the customers facility.

What Will You Do?
Logistics Duties:
  • Requesting & reviewing quotes from freight service providers
  • Planning, booking transport & tracking orders by various methods to customers
  • Serve as a point of contact with internal departments, customers and external partners
  • Prepare and manage necessary shipping documents to ensure all operations comply with national and international laws, regulations and customs procedure
Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Completing auditing of customs declarations and reporting back to the Logistics Team Leader on any compliance issues
  • Following up non-compliance with customs brokers and/or freight service providers
  • Applying to Chamber of Commerce for Certificates of Origin, ATRs, EUR1 and other documents
  • Issuing Import or Export instructions to freight forwarders
Qualifications

Education: GCSE Level or equivalent

Experience: 2-3 years working in a logistics-based environment

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Competent computer skills Microsoft office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize their workload based on business demand and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse parties and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and carriers
  • A strong customer-oriented approach to ensure satisfaction with delivery schedules and resolve queries
  • Team player able to interact with various personnel from a wide range of departments within a high demand business environment
