Make a Difference as a Logistics Coordinator - Ford, West Sussex

Join Biffa's team in a vital, office-based role supporting our logistics operations across West Sussex.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

You will be required to participate in an on-call rota, typically one week in every two. While this is not a 24-hour commitment, you will be expected to be available from early morning through to the evening to support driver operations as needed. Additional pay is provided on top of your regular salary for on-call duties.

We're looking for an organised Logistics Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations of our logistics team across West Sussex. In this key role, you'll ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and customers. You'll drive performance, maximise collection productivity, and help meet or exceed service targets while ensuring all legal and contractual requirements are fulfilled.

Your core responsibilities.
  • The Logistics Coordinator will competently supervise a Logistic team's activities within West Sussex and to ensure that they are carried out in a safe, professional, economical and timely manner in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • You will ensure that Biffa West Sussex complies with all legislative, statutory and company requirements
  • Maximise your team's collection rates, productivity and efficiency ensuring that all targets and objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all other internal departments within Biffa as well as external contractors as required.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with the Commercial team and customers ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
