Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Locum Paramedic Practitioner to support across 2-4 practices within a well-established PCN in the Clacton-on-Sea area. The role is available from late September/early October and will run until March 2026, with the potential to extend.

Role and Responsibilities

• Locum Prescribing Paramedic Practitioner
• Working 4 days per week with a flexible start/finish time
• Full days required within practice opening hours (8:00am – 6:30pm)
• Support in areas such as minor illness, injury, minor ailments and acute on the day appointments
• See 12-14 patients per session
• Work autonomously with clinical decision-making and prescribing
• Experience in managing long-term conditions, particularly Respiratory, is advantageous; an interest in Mental Health is beneficial though not essential
• Home visits could be required
• SystemOne or EMIS experience is required/beneficial
• Independent Prescribing is Essential
• Primary Care experience is desirable
