Job Title: Locum Consultant in General Radiology

Location: Sussex, England

Rate: £95 - £110ph. PAYE only

Contract Type: Locum (short-term and long-term assignments available)

Start Date: ASAP until 31/12/25 initially. Possibility of extension

Details:

Looking for a Consultant on the Specialist Register who has experience of working within General Radiology - ultrasound and cross sectional reporting.

• Conduct and report general ultrasound examinations (abdominal, pelvic, small parts, vascular and musculoskeletal).
• Interpret CT and MRI scans across multiple body systems (neuro, chest, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal).
• Deliver clear, concise and actionable radiology reports to referring clinicians.
• Communicate urgent or unexpected findings promptly to clinical teams in accordance with Trust protocols.
• Must have full Registration with GMC and appear on Specialist Register in Clinical Radiology.

Candidate requirements:

• Experience of working in the NHS.
• Standalone Right to Work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
• RCR Accredited.
• Able to undertake reporting of cross-sectional imaging (CT/MRI), with willingness to report on plain imaging (X‑ray) too.
• Would work on site.
• Experience of Philips PACS/EPIC advantageous although training will be given.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check – or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills

Desirable:

• CCT in Radiology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
