Job description

A family based in Chelsea, London, is seeking a Live-in Nanny to provide support to a stay‑at‑home mother. The ideal candidate will be warm, nurturing, and experienced in newborn care whilst also being a team player.

The baby is due in May, and the family would like some time to settle in before the Nanny starts. Therefore, the expected start date will be mid-July.

Responsibilities
  • Providing daily care and support for the newborn, including feeding, changing, and establishing routines
  • Assisting the mother with all aspects of newborn care while respecting her involvement
  • Engaging in age‑appropriate developmental activities
  • Maintaining a clean and organised nursery
  • Supporting sleep routines, and ensuring the baby’s safety and well‑being at all times
  • Working collaboratively with other household staff, including the Housekeeper
  • Being comfortable around pets (the household has two cats)
Requirements
  • Proven experience caring for newborns
  • A team player who works well within a staffed household
  • A calm, flexible, and supportive approach to working alongside a stay‑at‑home parent
  • Comfortable with animals and able to work in a pet‑friendly home
  • DBS check and Paediatric First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
  • The family is looking for a long‑term Nanny, so it is essential that the candidate is committed to longevity

Days: 5 days per week, with preference for 2 weekdays off (or one weekend day off and one weekday)

Hours: Approx. 9.00am-6.00pm (to be discussed with the principal)

Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom within the household

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
