A local support service in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated mentor to assist a young male teenager with ADHD and Autism. The role involves building confidence, promoting independence, and engaging in social activities. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children, a caring nature, an outgoing personality, and a valid UK driving license. Can you make a difference? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support a young male teenager with ADHD and Autism.
The role will involve acting as a mentor, supporting the teen in building confidence and promoting independence, helping create and maintain social connections, engaging in promoting regular social and leisure activities and establishing a routine. Some personal care will be required. Activities enjoyed are sports, Autism-friendly cinema and video games.
The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and outgoing personality. Experience in working with children, teenagers and young adults with ASD/ADHD is essential.
Full, clean valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle is required.
This is a part time position during term time for 6 hours per week and 10 hours per week non-term time with an hourly rate of £12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
