A local government authority in Bristol seeks a part-time Library Assistant for the Central Library. The role involves helping customers, managing library resources, and organizing community reading activities. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to public service and a passion for literature. This position requires physical presence on weekends, as it is not suitable for remote work.
Part Time, Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Bristol’s flagship Central Library as a weekend Library Assistant.

This post is not available for job share and availability for all specified sessions is required. The role is not suitable for home working or hybrid working, as they are required to be physically present in Central Library.
Location: Central Library, College Green, City Centre, Bristol BS1 5TL
Salary: BG7: £26,824 - £28,142 pro rata
Contractual hours: 10.5 Basis Part time
Hours/ Session pattern: 10.5 hours per week across weekends (see specific weekly patterns below).
