Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a challenging role within a supportive environment. The Governors of St Ambrose Barlow Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an efficient, enthusiastic and approachable Level 3 Teaching Assistant and After School Club Manager, who is reliable, self-motivated, and supportive of the Catholic ethos of our school. The successful candidate must be an excellent Teaching Assistant with the ability to inspire and support high quality learning for all pupils.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of staff
  • Ensure all pupils and staff follow relevant policies and procedures
  • Be willing to take on any training relevant to the role
  • Secure the site at the end of the day
  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with SEND during the lunchtime period
  • Provide classroom support across both KS1 and KS2 classrooms where required
  • Move to the After School Club at 3pm and act as After School Club Manager, overseeing the day-to-day running of the extended provision to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils in their care
  • Lead a team of staff in the After School Club, prepare engaging activities, provide food and supervise the children in attendance at the club
