Job description

We are seeking a Leisure Support Assistant to join our Leisure Team at Aspire @ the Park to provide excellent customer service and maintain a safe environment for our users. We have a proven track record of developing our teams so if you are wanting a career in leisure, we would love to hear from you.

Based at Aspire @ The Park, you will assist our team set up a variety of sports equipment whilst keeping the building safe and tidy.

Key job tasks will include
  • To be responsible for the overseeing and general safety and behaviour of the public, to ensure their safety and enjoyment during participation in sport and physical activity, and to prevent injury, misuse and damage to the facilities
  • Assembling and dismantling of equipment (including sports and events and other activities)
  • Cleaning (including internal and external areas)
  • Control of activities (including changing rooms and toilets)
  • Regularly receive and respond positively to verbal customer comments and ensure accurate records are made in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Ensure that the Council customer care policy is delivered effectively
  • Help with front of house duties
  • Control of activities (including gym, tennis courts , 3G pitches, changing rooms and toilets)
  • Must be competent at manual handling tasks
  • Have the ability to deal with a physically challenging role with abilities to undertake heavy lifting
  • Have good communication skills
  • Full-Time Position: 37 hours per week, including alternative weekends and evening shifts based on a two-week rota
