Job summary

A legal firm in Mansfield is seeking a Legal Secretary for a full-time, permanent role. You'll manage legal documents, handle client interactions, and support Fee Earners in a professional environment. Previous experience is preferred, but full training is offered. The ideal candidate should have strong administration skills, exceptional organisation, and a proactive attitude. Salary ranges from £24,000 to £27,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Producing accurate legal documents from instructions
  • Handling confidential information with discretion
  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages
  • Diary management for Fee Earners
  • Attending to clients in person and over the phone
  • Liaising with third parties
  • Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
  • Managing document storage for Wills and LPAs
  • Opening, closing, and archiving client files
  • Preparing and dispatching outgoing correspondence
  • Supporting trainee and temporary secretaries
  • Carrying out various ad-hoc admin duties

Legal Secretary required in Mansfield

Locations: Central Mansfield
Full-Time, Permanent, Office-Based
Salary: GBP24,000 - GBP27,000 - dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Location & Employment

Mansfield - centrally located with good transport links.

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is ideal, but not essential. Our client is happy to provide full training for the right candidates who bring:

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Producing accurate legal documents from dictation, written or verbal instructions
  • Handling confidential information with discretion
  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages
  • Diary management for Fee Earners
  • Attending to clients in person and over the phone
  • Liaising with third parties (Solicitors, Experts, Barristers, Courts)
  • Maintaining both electronic and paper filing systems
  • Managing document storage for Wills and LPAs in line with guidelines
  • Opening, closing, and archiving client files
  • Preparing and dispatching outgoing correspondence
  • Offering support to trainee and temporary secretaries when required
  • Carrying out various ad-hoc admin duties
