A leading investment firm based in London is seeking a qualified In-house Corporate Commercial Solicitor / Legal Counsel. The role involves providing legal support on a range of commercial and corporate matters, including M&A and compliance. Ideal candidates will have corporate or M&A experience, with a PQE of around 3+ years. The company offers a competitive salary in the range of £90-120k and promotes a hybrid working model, maintaining a professional yet dynamic environment.
Our client is an investment company that specialises in the acquisition of successful software / technology companies, with a view to retaining, building and supporting their acquisitions for the long‑term.
The company has experienced rapid growth in recent years, and with operations across Europe, North America and elsewhere, the leadership team has ambitious plans for further investment and expansion.
To support the group company and its acquired subsidiaries / investments, the General Counsel seeks to recruit an In‑house Corporate Commercial Solicitor / Legal Counsel to be based at the company’s offices in central London.
The role will report into the Lead Counsel for Europe and the UK, and as Legal Counsel you will help provide business‑focused legal support on a wide variety of commercial, corporate, operational and strategic (legal) matters. This will include portfolio legal support and integration, strategic commercial contract support, M&A support and associated compliance.
This role would be ideal for anyone seeking to work in a professional, high‑growth and ambitious company that has the feel of a start‑up but is well‑established, with a clear strategy, and plenty of money to invest.
Applications are encouraged from UK qualified solicitors with corporate / M&A, company commercial or general commercial experience, and ideally you will have an interest in corporate transactional matters, particularly as it relates to acquisitions, corporate integration and policy implementation.
A notional PQE of circa 3+ years’ is suggested; however, applications from individuals with more or less experience will be considered, particularly if you have experience working with or for companies in the software sector.
Our client has a working budget of £90‑120k. Hybrid working is available, with three days in the office and two from home.
