We are a lean, high-impact finance organisation operating across the UK and US group structure - the engine room that keeps Lawhive moving with precision as we scale a first-of-its-kind global AI-native law firm. We partner deeply with every part of the business: product, engineering, legal operations, hr, talent, and the exec team. The next 12–18 months will bring some of the most challenging and meaningful work you’ll do in your career. We’re focused on:

• Designing and embedding the financial systems, controls and reporting infrastructure required for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group (UK, US) on the path to audit and global scale

• Building real-time, decision-grade data - from cashflow to margins to unit economics - ensuring the business can make fast, high-quality decisions as we grow revenue and deploy capital

• Transforming acquired entities into a single, unified finance ecosystem with tight working-capital discipline and deep operational control

• Implementing automation and intelligent workflows across payables, payroll, client-money compliance, tax, FP&A and revenue accounting to unlock leverage across the business

• Partnering with leaders to shape strategy, investment decisions, and the future of AI-enabled legal services

The Role:

As Lawhive continues to scale at speed, we’re looking for a Legal Cashier to play a pivotal role in our Finance team. You’ll be at the heart of our financial operations -ensuring accuracy, trust, and compliance as our transaction volume soars and we onboard a rapidly growing community of lawyers and clients.

What You’ll Do:

• Input inbound payments into the ledger throughout the day and make sure everything stays perfectly balanced.

• Manage and queue payment requests, ensuring fast, accurate turnaround.

• Update and reconcile ledgers after every transaction, keeping our records spotless.

• Prepare and record internal payments and refunds, maintaining meticulous documentation.

• Respond to queries from our consultant solicitors with professionalism and care.

• Champion financial accuracy: Assist in CMA reconciliations and maintain clear, compliant records across the board.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Legal Cashier in a busy law firm environment.

• A tech-savvy mindset - you’re curious about how technology can make legal and financial processes better.

• A love of precision - you catch the small details others might miss.

• Stellar organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup setting.
