Overview

Legal Administrator, Telford, Shropshire — Temporary to Permanent | £12.44 per hour | Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm (35 hours per week).

We are recruiting for a Legal Administrator for our Telford based client on a temp-to-perm basis working in their conveyancing department. This role will be suited to someone who is keen to learn and has some existing office-based administration experience. The client recognises people who work hard and can offer progression opportunities and will consider providing additional training for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Secretarial duties including typing of letters and documents, audio typing, filing and copying.
  • Preparing documents and correspondence, including mail and enclosures.
  • Assisting in administration of client files from opening to close and subsequent archiving.
  • Making appointments, maintaining and reviewing the diary on a daily basis.
  • Managing financial aspects of client files and ensuring all money transactions are notified to the Accounts Clerk and noted.
  • Answering telephone and other queries from clients and others.
  • Receiving telephone messages, facsimile messages and emails and ensuring they are dealt with promptly.
  • Communicating with clients in person and by calls to ensure they receive prompt, efficient and friendly service.
  • Covering for others when they are unavailable.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous legal experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
  • You must be IT literate and have excellent communication skills.
  • You are a dynamic and driven individual who is keen to prove their ability to go the extra mile.
  • Great attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for this role.
  • You will need to be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Free parking is available on site.
