Job description
Job Purpose

To work within the Defence Team, providing administrative support to fee earners who deal with all aspects of litigated and non‑litigated personal injury claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Composing letters to clients/customers
  • Maintain pro‑active communication with clients and external agencies relating to claims
  • Observing and maintaining firm confidentiality in relation to all correspondence and communications
  • Effective prioritisation of tasks whilst managing a full workload
  • Answer and make telephone calls
  • Handle confidential information in line with the firm’s data security protocols
  • Proactively manage diaries and diarise actions
  • Generating standard system driven letters
  • Provide general help and assistance with all aspects of litigated and non‑litigated personal injury claims and/or technical nature
  • Assist with matters such as (but not exclusively): preparing Trial bundles, preparing witness statements, obtaining and reviewing evidence (medical or otherwise), obtaining and collating medical records, instructing Counsel, preparing court proceedings
Experience And Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

  • An ability to work using own initiative within boundaries, as well as in a team, to achieve maximum results
