Annual salary: up to £26,250.00

Ledger Clerk

Gloucester, Brockworth Business Park, GL3 4AH

Paying a salary of up to £26,775 per annum

40hrs per week

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm - Flexible hybrid working after probation.

Mears Group are a highly established Nationwide Business, our Gloucester head office are now looking to recruit additional Ledger Clerks to join their already dedicated Team.

About the role:

Are you a highly organised individual with admin or customer service experience? If so, we need to hear from you! If you consider yourself to be self-motivating with an aptitude to develop your own skill set whilst recognising prioritisation is a key factor in this role, you could be what you have been looking for!

The successful Ledger Clerk will be joining a busy, vibrant Accounts Payable team, where routine and organisation is key! The ideal candidate will have previous administration or customer service experience with a keen eye for detail in a high volume busy environment, be great at building professional relationships and have excellent data entry skills.

Role duties:

  • Answering phone queries
  • Inputting bills - rental payments, utility bills, leases.
  • Covering central inboxes
  • Opening post
  • Querying different bills
  • Working collaboratively with other departments
  • Inputting a high volume of supplier invoices with speed and accuracy
  • Investigating and resolving supplier queries
  • General maintenance of the purchase ledger
  • Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required
  • Data entry and statement reconciliation

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

Role Criteria:

  • Previous administration experience within a fast paced, volume lead position.
  • If you have Accounts or Ledger experience this would be advantageous but not essential
  • A strong administrator with excellent IT and database skills - confident in using Excel
  • You will be tenacious, organised, self-motivated, a confident communicator - able to liaise with internal employees or any suppliers, communicate with a broad range of personalities and business managers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage your own workload
  • Professional, confidential individual that is adaptable to change
  • Flexibility to take on other duties that are not included in this job description to help the wider organisation as this is an ever-evolving team.
