Job description

Buckinghamshire College Group is looking for a Lecturer - Music Performance to join our highly experienced and talented music department, based at our Amersham Campus. Working 35 hours a week over 52 weeks per year, you will be teaching across tech and performance courses in our dedicated rehearsal rooms, recording studios and classrooms, creating inspirational and aspirational music lessons. Please note this is a course leadership role for our Level 3 Music Performance course.

You will be working with a friendly, motivated and highly skilled music team. Knowledge of music software (such as Logic Pro X, Avid Pro Tools and/or Ableton Live) is an advantage. The college is an Avid training partner.

The successful candidate will:

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.

As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
