Wiltshire College & University Centre has a great opportunity for a part‑time Lecturer in Land-Based (Agriculture) to join our team.

Job Type: Permanent, Part‑time – 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

The Role

Set in 500 acres of Wiltshire countryside, our Lackham campus is home to a modern AgriTech Centre, a robotic dairy featuring market‑leading robotics and software, and a Home Farm where our dairy herd, flock of sheep, livestock and crop production are all based.

We are seeking a Lecturer in Land‑Based (Agriculture) to join our passionate and supportive team, someone who shares our enthusiasm for rural industries, sustainability and innovation in modern farming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons across a range of agriculture‑related topics, from livestock management to crop production, machinery operations and agri‑business (Levels 1‑3).
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential using practical, real‑world examples drawn from your own experience.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback and pastoral guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure the curriculum remains current and aligned with emerging agricultural technologies and practices.
You
  • Have significant experience within the agriculture industry (livestock, arable or agri‑tech).
  • Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Agriculture or a related discipline.
  • Are enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and expertise with the next generation of agricultural professionals.
  • Embrace continuous learning and development, both personally and professionally.
  • Will receive support to achieve a teaching qualification if you join us directly from industry.
