An exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Digital Marketing to deliver engaging, innovative teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, combining academic knowledge with industry practice in digital and data-focused education.

SALARY: £39,906 to £56,535 per annum

LOCATION: Garthdee, Aberdeen, Scotland

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

DUTIES

  • Deliver Teaching: Provide lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops in digital marketing subjects
  • Create Learning Materials: Develop engaging teaching and learning resources across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
  • Support Students: Offer personal guidance, tutorials and supervision of projects
  • Assessment Duties: Design and assess coursework, exams and projects effectively
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to subject and course design, reflecting current industry practices
  • Promote Courses: Support student recruitment and external marketing of programmes
  • Industry Engagement: Build and maintain professional and industrial links for collaboration
  • Research Activity: Undertake and publish research, attend conferences, and seek external funding
  • Administrative Duties: Carry out timetabling, examination organisation, and other responsibilities as required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience in teaching or professional practice in digital marketing
  • Proven expertise in areas such as SEO, social media, content marketing, analytics or AI in marketing
  • A background in digital marketing supported by a degree or relevant postgraduate qualification
  • Experience with fostering collaborative links with academic or industry partners
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to students at different levels

DESIRABLE

  • PhD in a related subject area
  • Membership of a recognised professional body in marketing or digital marketing
  • Experience of developing innovative teaching methods or learning resources
  • Evidence of published research in relevant fields
  • Knowledge of data privacy, compliance and ethics in digital marketing contexts
