About the Role

As a Leaving Care Personal Adviser, you will undertake the statutory Personal Adviser role, working with care‑experienced young people from the age of 16 up to 21, or 25 where applicable. You will act as the key professional and case manager, providing consistent support, guidance and advocacy during a critical stage of their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the statutory role of Personal Adviser for individual care‑experienced young people aged 16–21 (or up to 25 where eligible).
  • Act as the key professional and case manager for former relevant young people, and where required, relevant or qualifying young people.
  • Work closely with young people leaving care and their wider support networks to promote independence and positive outcomes.
  • Support the development of essential independent living skills, including housing, education, employment, training and wellbeing.
  • Assist young people to prepare for leaving care, offering practical and emotional support, advice and guidance up to the age of 25.
Working Arrangements

Hybrid working – dependent on visits and service needs. Teams are generally office‑based two days per week.
