A leading UK educational institution seeks a Learning Support Practitioner for its Sheppey Campus. The role involves providing support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion and engagement in the curriculum. Previous experience in this area is advantageous, along with strong communication skills and a passion for enabling learners. We are looking for a Learning Support Practitioner to join our Sheppey Campus. You will provide 1-2-1 and group support to students who have a high level of need undertaking a range of subjects and qualifications from entry 1 up to level 3 including Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths. Students may have a wide range of learning difficulties and or disabilities, and will require support in their programme of study, work placement and if necessary their welfare/personal care needs.
You will be passionate and enthusiastic about supporting students with a high level of need, and have strong communication and understanding of behaviour support.
Experience in working with the above needs would be an advantage. This may also include personal care, assisting with mobility and specific medical/feeding needs. Experience in working with the above needs would be an advantage but full training will be given.
