Overview

Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor

Location: Nottingham, NG11, Clifton
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term to permanent

Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 7 student who may display challenging behaviours or become dysregulated.
  • Use positive strategies to help maintain engagement in lessons and encourage emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
  • Be a positive role model, supporting the student to build confidence, resilience and motivation.
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting young people with SEN or challenging behaviours (school, youth work, or alternative provision backgrounds welcome).
  • Confidence in managing challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • A patient, empathetic approach with strong communication skills.
  • Resilience, consistency and the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
