Role: Learning Mentor (SEMH)

Location: Cirencester

Rate: £100

Teachmatch are seeking dedicated and experienced Learning Mentors with expertise in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across schools in Cheltenham.

As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with teachers, students, and other school staff to implement targeted interventions designed to support the emotional and social development of students. Your role will focus on helping students build emotional resilience, improve social skills, and manage their behaviour effectively, ensuring that each child receives the necessary support to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide One-on-One and Small Group Support: Deliver targeted SEMH interventions to individual students or small groups, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills development, and self-confidence building.
  • Implement strategies to support students' behavioural and emotional needs, promoting positive interactions and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar support role in education, with a focus on SEMH or behaviour support.
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs and a strong understanding of strategies to support emotional and social development.
  • Ability to implement strategies for behaviour management, emotional regulation, and social skills development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
