Overview

Title - Lead Transport Manager
Location - Wembley, Northwest London (Princess Royal Distribution Centre)

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop an extensive team to deliver a safe and compliant operation of fleet and distribution activities across both sites
  • Ensure full compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements relating to fleet and vehicle operations, including holding and maintaining the site's Operator's Licence (O Licence) and acting as the lead CPC holder
  • Coach and develop Transport Office Managers, ensuring high performance and strong employee engagement
  • Drive team performance by leading, motivating and inspiring your team to deliver operational excellence
  • Collaborate with Fleet Maintenance and Asset Managers to optimise vehicle and container utilisation
  • Drive continuous improvement using KPI and balanced scorecard metrics
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including union representatives, TfL and logistics partners including Logistics UK
Qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of UK road transport legislation and safety standards
  • CPC qualification and willingness to be named on the Operating Licence
  • Experience managing people and collaborating with wider remote teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
