Job description
Overview

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic pharmacy technician with medicines management experience to join the Specialist Medicine team at Barts Health. The post holder will be based at Royal London Hospital but will also be required to work at Mile End and Whipps Cross Hospitals.

You will be supporting the Royal London Pharmacy department and Specialist Medicine Division team in delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to patients in Specialist Medicine, ensuring efficient and safe supply of medicines, providing training for staff, and supporting governance and financial review of medicines. The post holder will work closely with the Highly Specialist Rheumatology & Dermatology Pharmacist, Highly Specialist Gastroenterology Pharmacist, the wider pharmacy team, homecare team and specialist medicine multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Specialist Medicine Team (Rheumatology, Dermatology and Gastroenterology) to ensure good pharmaceutical care for patients in Specialist Medicine.
  • Ensure efficient and safe supply of medicines, provide staff training, and contribute to governance and financial review of medicines.
  • Support the supply and technical review of monitoring medicines, engage in direct patient contact, liaise with home care providers, and create financial reports.
