Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich experiences for our users.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage the SRE function, focusing on the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team's future using your expertise in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  • API development and deployment in containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation/CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
