Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This is a hands-on position within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering to provide expertise and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and positive user experiences.

The successful candidate will review, lead, and drive our strategy to improve the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team's future, utilizing your extensive background in:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments such as Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
• Collaborating with business stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation and CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
