Job description
Overview

As Lead Product Manager for Tesco’s Cyber Data team, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how we use data and AI to protect our business. You’ll build and lead a small but high-impact team of Product Managers, driving a clear strategy that connects directly to our wider cyber data objectives. You’ll own your products end-to-end, from defining the vision and roadmap to tracking key metrics and delivering measurable impact.

This role is as much about people as it is about products—you’ll inspire, empower, and grow your team to deliver value at scale. While you may start by rolling up your sleeves with user stories and backlogs, your ultimate mission is to create an environment where your team can thrive, innovate, and transform the way Tesco approaches cyber data. You’ll also be the voice of your products to senior leadership, ensuring they see the full picture and the business value you’re driving.

Responsibilities
  • Business Conduct & Risk: Follow Tesco’s Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence in all decisions.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute the product strategy for cyber data analytics and AI initiatives; ensure alignment with overall cyber data objectives and priorities.
  • Product Roadmap: Define and manage the product roadmap, communicating vision, goals, and key initiatives for cyber data analytics and AI products.
  • Product Development & Releases: Lead the product development process from concept to launch, defining features, user stories, and acceptance criteria; manage releases for new features and improvements with security engineering, testing, and infrastructure teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior leadership, internal cyber data teams, wider security teams, and external partners to gather feedback and ensure business alignment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering and infrastructure teams to drive product development and delivery.
  • Product Team Management: Build and nurture a high-performing team of Product Managers aligned to business needs and strategic priorities.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in product management, including strategy development, roadmap creation, and leading product development cycles to achieve objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and growing high-performing teams, with a focus on empowering others to deliver results.
  • Proficiency in understanding interactions between large technology systems and monitoring key health metrics such as uptime, SLOs, and response times.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills; able to analyse metrics, track performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, AI technologies, and standard processes.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
