Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to manage pharmacy services at HMP Standford Hill and ensure safe medication supply at HMP Elmley. Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience of working in a pharmacy. Experience in prison or hospital pharmacy is desirable.
• Management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of pharmacy services at HMP Standford Hill.
• Ensure safe supply and administer medication to patients at HMP Elmley.
• Promote high standards of work to all Medicines Management staff.

Skills

Knowledge and experience of checking dispensed prescriptions

Good knowledge of writing and working within SOPs

Ability to use computer packages including Pharmacy Manager/JAC

Some understanding of mental illness and substance misuse and their treatment

Education

NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent

Accredited Checking Technician Certificate

Registration with GPhC as a pharmacy technician
