Job description

An opportunity has arisen within a forward-thinking water treatment company who supply the full range of water treatment, legionella, pre-commissioning, and commissioning services to a national client base. They are currently recruiting for a hardworking and professional Lead Pre-Commissioning Engineer based in and around the Croydon area. The ideal applicant will come from a strong pre-commissioning background and experience over‑seeing site staff leaning duties to BSRIA standards as well as chemical dosing and flushing duties. Consideration will be given to applications from Basingstoke, Reading, Watford, and the surrounding areas.

Qualification & Experience

• Must have a proven track record working within a Pre-Commissioning / Flushing Engineer
• Will have experience in undertaking pre-commissioning cleans to BSRIA standard.
• Will come from a strong water treatment, chemical, technical, maintenance, educational, supervisory, and plumbing background.
• Previous experience supervising a team of Pre-Commissioning/Flushing Engineers.
• Experience creating quotations of works.
• Must have good communication, organisational, client facing, people management and IT skills.
• Must be well versed with the water industry and will hands on experience in water treatment engineering.

Key Role

• Carrying out pre-commissioning cleans to BSRIA standard.
• Overseeing contractors, operatives, and maintenance suppliers.
• Undertaking site surveys and producing quotations of works.
• Scheduling of works.
• Attending regular client meetings to provide regular updates.
• Producing RAMS.
• Planning of labour and equipment required for each project.
• Ensuring engineers are working to relevant legislation.
• Providing toolbox talks.
• Organising labour.
