A regional NHS Foundation Trust in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated Lead ADHD Nurse. The role involves leading the ADHD pathway, delivering specialist clinical interventions for vulnerable children and young people, and promoting improvements in Neurodevelopmental Services. This part-time position offers flexible working arrangements and is crucial for advancing mental health care in the community.
1 x 30 hours per week. The role of the Lead ADHD nurse is exciting and varied. You will help build on the improvements that have been made over recent years in assessment and treatment. Our ADHD Assessment Pathway is something we are truly proud of with good waiting times and above the national average. You will have a key role in representing Barnsley CAMHS in strategic discussions with SYICB and at national/regional forums. You will have the ambition and passion to drive improvements for the Neurodevelopmental Services across South Yorkshire.

JOB SUMMARY
The postholder will be responsible for a caseload aligned to their area of specialist practice. Take on a strategic lead on the development of nursing and mental health led pathways for vulnerable children and young people. Be responsible for leading and researching the effectiveness of practice development and the advancement of care within CAMHS, specifically in relation to vulnerable children including Looked After Children and those with Neuro Developmental Needs.
The post holder is expected to contribute to the body of knowledge and develop practice in the specialist area at a national level, through publications, conference presentations and participation in seminars. This requires academic standards at least at masters level. The post holder is expected to work with the senior leadership team to drive the development of nurse led pathways across Barnsley CAMHS including Trainee Nurse Associate roles. The post holder will have a proven track record in achieving the highest standards in the management of people and services and in the delivery of complex CAMHS interventions.
The post holder will liaise with medical and adult mental health professionals internally and externally and across a range of settings and work autonomously within professional practice and Trust guidelines. The postholder will contribute to policy and service development, contribute to research, service evaluation and audit for the service and contribute to the training of the clinical team and others.
