Job summary

A leading nonprofit conservation organization in Ipswich is looking for a Lead Environmental Educator. In this seasonal role, you will coordinate educational activities, support camp staff, and engage campers in agricultural and ecological learning. The position requires a background in environmental education, experience with children, and a passion for sustainability. Working 40 hours per week, the position involves both office preparation and active camp involvement from May to August 2026. Competitive hourly rate offered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in environmental education and curriculum development a must.
  • A special interest in outdoor education, especially in a farm-based setting.
  • Experience working as a camp counselor or informal educator with children ages 4–14.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily routines and weekly themes for camp.
  • Design camp curriculum and lead activities based on farming and food.
  • Support camp educators with activity development and management.
