Job description

Our client, a medium-sized Planning, Engineering and Surveying consultancy based in Sheffield, is currently seeking a Land Surveyor to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis.

With an increasing workload, our client requires a talented individual to support a diverse array of consultancy projects including quarries, landfill and recycling sites, and industrial, commercial, and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the execution of measured building surveys
  • Conducting detailed topographical surveys
  • Supporting projects with site surveys using Leica GPS and TPS equipment
  • Utilising LSS and AutoCAD software for survey processing
  • Collaborating with team members to produce accurate and reliable survey data
  • Completing on‑site work efficiently, ensuring high standards of data collection
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring its readiness for fieldwork
  • Providing support to the senior surveyors and engineers on various projects
Job Requirements
  • Experience in measured building and topographical surveying
  • Familiarity with scanning software is preferable but not essential
  • Basic experience with LSS and AutoCAD software is advantageous
  • Good IT skills and proficiency in relevant software tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Outgoing and confident with strong communication skills
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying is desirable but not essential
