Our client, a specialist in Freight Forwarding Transportation and Logistics Solutions, is currently seeking a Land Freight Operator for their team based in Manchester.

The role involves processing consignments arriving to the UK by road from Europe. You will be booking deliveries, preparing import documents, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods within specified timeframes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities of the Land Freight Operator:

• Track and trace shipments, proactively identifying and resolving any issues or delays.
• Deal with general administration such as POD handling, invoicing, filing, queries, etc.
• Ensure shipping invoices and packing are accurate.
• Liaise with clients to understand their land transportation requirements and provide suitable solutions.
• Stay updated with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and transportation trends, ensuring adherence to legal and safety standards.

Experience and Qualifications

The successful Land Freight Operator will have strong experience working in land freight operations within the transportation and logistics industry. You will need to have previous experience working as a Land Freight Operator or in a similar role.

Skills & experience required:

• Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS), freight management software, and other relevant tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
• Good administrative skills.
