Overview

MSV Housing is committed to ensuring our customers have good quality, safe homes. Our Labourers are key to making this happen. Reporting to the Area Repairs Manager, Labourers provide general labouring work for the Group to a high and consistent standard. We are looking for candidates who have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.

Responsibilities
  • Operate tools, machinery and vehicles safely and efficiently, including skyvac, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and cement mixers.
  • Perform site prep, cleaning, waste removal and minor repairs.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE use and reporting hazards.
  • Communicate with clients and supervise apprentices as needed.
  • Record work activities and assist with planning and materials.
  • Cleaning of and minor guttering repairs.
What we are looking for (Qualifications)
  • City and Guilds Craft or minimum NVQ level 2 in an appropriate craft-based trade or substantial relevant experience.
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-discipline team.
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a busy team environment.
  • Experience of delivering quality work on time.
  • Customer focused with a desire to provide services to a high standard.
  • Full driving licence and willing to travel across the Northwest.
  • This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service; effective communication skills and the ability to understand diverse needs with empathy are key. You will be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision as part of a team with a flexible approach.

Hours, Dates and Recruitment

Hours of Work: 40 per week. Closing date: 21 November 2025. Interviews: End of November 2025.
