Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking Laboratory Technicians for ad-hoc shifts in Sutton, United Kingdom. The roles involve processing blood/plasma samples and require good communication skills and strong record-keeping abilities. £12.00 - 14.00 (DOE)

Excellent public transport links - bus and train

Shuttle bus from Sutton Station also available

Shifts that get released are ad-hoc days & hours - including some evening cover needed

Busiest days are: Mondays to Wednesday (possibly extended to Thursdays as well in the future) tend to be their busiest days that will needing covering.

Our client is looking for us to find a number of potential "bank" staff to cover "as and when" needed shifts throughout 2026. These are not full time or permanent roles, purely ad-hoc, to help with busiest periods.

  • Processing human blood / plasma samples
  • Data collection, pipetting, centrifuging, separation of plasma/blood cells, aliquoting, preparing lab solution, equipment management
  • Good communication, understanding of scientific laboratory processes
  • Strong and accurate record keeping and accuracy is paramount
  • Experience in clinical trial / hospital laboratories is preferred
