Are you a detail-driven lab technician with a passion for microbiology? We’re looking for someone to join our specialist team, carrying out Salmonella testing on poultry samples to support the poultry industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Receive, register, and prepare samples for testing
  • Perform Salmonella testing (swabs, feed, tissues, faecal samples)
  • Follow strict SOPs, biosafety rules, and ISO 17025 standards
  • Record and report accurate results within tight deadlines
  • Keep the lab safe, organised, and contamination-free

What you’ll bring:

  • 1–2 years’ lab experience (microbiology preferred)
  • Strong aseptic technique and culture methods
  • Knowledge of UKAS 17025 standards (essential)
  • Salmonella or food microbiology experience (desirable)
  • Accuracy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently (including weekends) and in a team
