Overview

Job Title: Laboratory Chemist — Location: Aberdeen, UK — Contract: 12 Months

The role will conduct routine chemical and physical analyses by running tests required for product and application development or QC of processes or procedures. The position is based in Aberdeen within the laboratories.

Responsibilities
  1. Providing local support on product selection testing for our North Sea customers.
  2. Compiling, analysing, and interpreting results for critical testing to internal/external customers.
  3. Providing timely updates on progress and results to internal/external customers on technical assignments.
  4. Assist in the resolution of inquiries and customer concerns.
  5. Having an attention to detail and a high regard for laboratory technical excellence when meeting the internal/external customers' expectations.
  6. Participate in risk assessments and comply with all HSE rules and regulations.
  7. Preparing technical reports.
Qualifications
  1. Have a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a lab.
  2. Be able to work independently at times or within a team to complete projects.
  3. Have good communication skills both verbal and written.
  4. Have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Have an awareness of chemical hazards and general health, safety, environment and welfare considerations.
