Job Overview

Nursery Practitioner – Maternity Cover (Until September 2026) – Location: Wallington – Contract Type: Temporary – Maternity Cover – Hours: 22.5 hours a week – Monday‑Friday 2:00 pm‑6:30 pm – Salary: £13.50 per hour – Position running from January 2026 to September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of planned, age‑appropriate activities based on EYFS.
• Encourage children’s independence, creativity, and development through play and learning opportunities.
• Assist with daily routines including mealtimes and sleep times.
• Work closely with room staff to ensure consistent care and support for all children.
• Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.

Qualifications

• Level 2 childcare qualification – required
• Experience of working in childcare – desired
