Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Kitchen Chef to join our team working at Officers Mess, Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth, PO10 8DH.

You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements : you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

• This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week (shift pattern, 5 days over 7 including weekends). Shifts range between 06 : 30 and 1400 or 1330 and 2100 , leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work in hospitality.
• The hourly rate is £13.31 / hour.

A day in the life of a Kitchen Chef :

• Cooking and preparing food ready for breakfast, lunch and dinner services ensuring minimal wastage. Providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions / hospitality events.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team of Chefs and acting as a trainer / coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.

You will be set up for success if you have :

• Relevant culinary qualification (706 / 1 or 706 / 2 or equivalent).
• Excellent team player and communicator.
• A confident Chef.
• Security checks and DBS required for this role.
