Be part of something new at Botanical Place - a vibrant, modern retirement community in the heart of West Byfleet. We are looking for a full-time Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment, with a passion for food and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our residents and visitors. With our restaurant and dining facilities also open to the public, this role offers variety and the chance to be part of a welcoming community hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents and visitors.
  • Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits.
  • Support with dishwashing and general kitchen cleanliness.
  • Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Help ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Organise and stock kitchen supplies.
  • Provide support to the cook and wider kitchen team as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous kitchen or food service experience is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable interacting with residents and members of the public.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry out manual tasks.
