Salary: 38,000 - 43,000 (Overtime OTE 50K) + 2k Call Out Bonus + Weekdays + Company Benefits
Location: Dukinfield, Greater Manchester

Are you a Junior/Aspiring Maintenance Engineer recently leaving the forces or someone who has completed an NVQ/Apprenticeship looking for a role that offers ongoing training, stable shift pattern and a long‑term career?

In this role you will be working alongside a team of 8‑10 maintenance engineers, directly working with one engineer on a split shift pattern: Monday to Friday (6:30 am – 2 pm) and (12 : 00 pm – 8 pm). The shift rotates weekly, with overtime available outside these hours and on weekends. The role will consist of mostly planned preventative maintenance, but you will also be required to be on a call‑out rota for reactive work – 1 week in 3, with a call‑out bonus and overtime rate paid for all hours worked if called out.

The Role
  • PPM & Reactive maintenance on plastic manufacturing machinery
  • Working on gearboxes, servos, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
  • Full training on highly specialised machinery
  • Opportunity to work on new machinery installation projects
  • On‑call 1 week in 3
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x, 6‑10 hours available each week
  • Weekly shift rotation: Week 1 6:30 am – 2:30 pm, Week 2 12 : 00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Person
  • Junior or Aspiring Maintenance Engineer or similar
  • Ex‑forces / NVQ / BTEC or similar qualification in maintenance/engineering
