Job summary

A leading diagnostic and healthcare provider is seeking a Junior Finance Analyst who will provide financial support to senior operational leaders. Responsibilities include preparing management accounts and budgets, as well as delivering commercial analysis. The role also offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days per week in Middlewich. Ideal candidates are motivated to develop within finance, possess good numeracy skills, and are eager to pursue professional qualifications.

As a Junior Finance Analyst you are the key financial and commercial support to Senior Operational leaders helping them set the overall business strategy, drive our contract profitability and operational delivery. You will be working closely with Operational & Commercial leaders to ensure that bids, tenders, spend & investment decisions are made with financial rigour. You will agree financial targets and measure financial performance, and then work with operational teams to agree actions to drive improved performance.This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week from our office in Middlewich.

Main duties of the job

Technical on-the-job training to understand accounting fundamentals in a commercial and group finance environment.Working with departments such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury and Commercial Finance.Assisting in preparation of month end management accounts, budgets and forecasts.Supporting with business requests, audit work, KPIs and other routine finance tasks from the businessProviding commercial analysis relevant to the business needs, including: Data consolidation, Trend analysis and Reconciliations.

About you:

  • Experience is flexible the role is ideal for somebody new to finance with an interest in the field, or with some existing experience i.e. graduates/school leavers.
  • Genuinely be motivated and driven to develop within Finance and Accounting with an aim to study towards their professional qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Be able to absorb feedback and the will to continually develop.
  • An individual who can demonstrate a desire to grow and develop with the business.
  • Computer literate with good numeracy skills.
  • The ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment
