Job description

EA First are pleased to be partnering with a major global organisation to support them to recruit a Junior Finance Analyst to join its FP&A team in Cambridge. This is a brilliant opportunity for a graduate or someone with early exposure to finance who wants to develop strong analytical, commercial and systems skills within a business-facing finance role.

We are working with a leading global technology business with a strong reputation for innovation, offering modern systems, supportive teams and excellent long-term career development.

The opportunity:

You’ll work closely with finance and business teams to help provide insight into performance, costs and future forecasts. You’ll support key reporting, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and help maintain core finance systems. You’ll also get hands‑on experience with data modelling using tools like Excel, Power BI and other finance systems.

The successful candidate:
  • Naturally inquisitive and keen to understand how and why things work
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and confident asking questions
  • Strong with Excel and comfortable handling large data sets
  • Analytical, numerate and able to spot trends or exceptions
  • Interested in both business and finance, not just month‑end tasks
  • Prior finance experience is a bonus, but not essential-attitude, curiosity and initiative are far more important
What the role offers
  • Hybrid working: 3 days office / 2 days from home
  • Exposure to FP&A, business partnering and major financial systems
  • Training in analysis, modelling, reporting and communication
  • Work on global employment cost modelling (6,500 employees)
  • Involvement in both daily finance activity and project‑based improvements
