Job description

We are currently seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Junior CAD Designer in the Highways Industry. While no experience is necessary, we require candidates to have excellent English language skills, strong spatial awareness, and be familiar with operating CAD software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing technical drawings and designs for our clients in the highways industry. You will be working on a range of projects, including road and highway construction, traffic management, and road safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce technical drawings and designs using CAD software
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders via email to provide project updates and answer queries
  • Ensure all designs are accurate and comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Work with senior designers to develop your skills and knowledge of the highways industry
  • Work to tight deadlines
Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal (Minimum requirements 3 A levels or equivalent grades C+ with GCSE Maths & English Grade 4+)
  • Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail
  • Basic CAD software skills and understanding, preferably AutoCAD or BricsCAD
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A degree or qualification in a relevant field (such Geography / Cartography / Engineering) would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Driving Licence
