A local news organization in Guernsey is seeking a creative multi-platform journalist. You'll join a dynamic team focused on compelling storytelling across radio, TV, and digital platforms. PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £35,000 plus additional Channel Islands weighting allowance. This will be dependent on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious and creative content maker to join BBC Guernsey. You'll be part of a dynamic and exciting team who put audiences at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a great multi-platform journalist who can really shape our output across radio, TV, online and socials. Aside from reporting, you'll need to have a good range of other skills; the ability to read bulletins, report live with bags of personality, and produce our radio shows.
You'll be working in a unique part of Britain for a station with one of the highest percentage listener rates in BBC Local radio, reaching audiences who truly value local journalism. Our reporters work seamlessly across TV, audio, online and social media, giving you the chance to build outstanding multi-platform skills in a supportive environment. Based in a distinctive news patch with its own government, you'll cover stories that genuinely impact communities, while learning, growing and thriving within a collaborative, encouraging team.
We are a seven day a week operation, and this role may require some weekend working.
