Overview

The MBDA Transformation and Improvement team is offering a 1-year undergraduate placement starting September 2026. You will work with the international Data Strategy & Data Transformation team to support the implementation of data practices, contribute to governance and management of data and data projects, and gain practical experience across the business in an international environment.

This role provides hands-on experience across a variety of data-related tasks, with mentorship from a skilled team. You will develop change management skills and contribute to the delivery of the international data strategy, while learning about the business functional areas and data governance.

This is an opportunity for those looking to apply university learning to real-world projects and technologies, with exposure to global data challenges and collaboration with external partners where relevant.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of data practices and governance across the business’s international environment.
  • Learn and contribute to the management of data projects within MBDA.
  • Develop understanding of data strategy and the business applications of data projects.
  • Support the team in presenting and communicating in different forums.
  • Help build and maintain relationships within the business and with external partners.
  • Analyse business challenges and positively influence business decisions.
  • Utilise learning platforms and participate in available training to develop data skills and management capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Working towards a degree in Business Computing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics or Business & Management Studies.
