Responsibilities

  • Act as the super-user for the Warehouse Management System.
  • Liaise with software vendors for high-level bug resolution.
  • Support the tech stack, including TMS and courier integration software.
  • Provide rapid-response support for warehouse hardware.
  • Ensure robust Wi-Fi connectivity on the warehouse floor.
  • Manage local IT assets: laptops and networking equipment.
  • Support onboarding of new clients with EDI and API mapping.
  • Monitor data queues for correct order flow into the WMS.
  • Troubleshoot failed orders and data mismatches.
  • Develop reports to track operational KPIs.
  • Utilise SQL or Excel for bespoke client reports.
  • Identify automation opportunities in warehouse tasks.

IT Systems Coordinator

Salary of 35,000 p/a, Pease Pottage (outside Crawley), Monday 9am - 5pm, Permanent, free parking.

The Role

A rapidly growing logistics company specialising in B2B and B2C fulfilment across footwear, fashion, and luxury goods is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced and highly proactive IT Systems Coordinator to support across all IT functions of the business including server, network, hardware troubleshooting and ongoing analytics to record and monitor performance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Act as the super-user for the Warehouse Management System (WMS), managing configuration, pick-path optimisations, and user accounts.
  • Liaise with software vendors to resolve high-level bugs and manage system patches or upgrades.
  • Support the wider tech stack, including Transport Management Systems (TMS) and courier integration software.
  • Provide rapid-response support for warehouse hardware: handheld scanners, thermal label printers, RDTs, and pack-bench workstations.
  • Ensure robust Wi-Fi connectivity across the warehouse floor to prevent "dead zones" during picking.
  • Manage local IT assets, including laptops, mobile devices, and office networking equipment.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients by assisting with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and API mapping.
  • Monitor data queues to ensure orders are flowing correctly from client e-commerce platforms into the WMS.
  • Troubleshoot "failed orders" and data mismatches between systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal reports to track operational KPIs (e.g. stock accuracy, pick rates, and courier performance).
  • Utilise SQL or Excel to extract raw data for bespoke client reports.
  • Present data findings to the Systems Director to assist with labour planning and capacity management.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual warehouse tasks through better use of existing software.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will offer excellent and highly knowledgeable experience in a similar position within a distribution or manufacturing company. A good understanding of common UK courier integrations such as Metapack, ShipStation or GFS would be preferred. You will also need to be versatile, use your initiative and confident in carrying out this autonomous role.
