Job description
Overview

Concorde Technology Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Field Maintenance Engineer to join our team based both remotely and at customer sites in South Wales and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will be required to work in the field as part of a team and as a lone worker. They should demonstrate outstanding communication and customer facing skills. They will work within strict customer driven SLAs and must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar IT maintenance position. The package will be based on experience and will include a company issued vehicle within the salary.

Working at a range of engineering customer sites located primarily in South Wales, with occasional travel further afield.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday with an hour lunch break. The role also requires cover on an out-of-hours rota, which attracts an enhanced payrate.

Main Duties
  • Responding to service calls on client sites.
  • Using company systems to provide real time updates on status of ticket and location.
  • Resolve complex technical faults maintaining regular communication with the company.
  • Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance as and when requested, ensuring that full activity records are documented.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of company products, services and solutions.
  • Stock take customer spare parts held.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SLA when dealing with customer tickets/calls.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A good understanding of the English language, both spoken and written; the successful candidate must be articulate with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Formal recognised Computer and ICT qualifications; experience of Alpha, Dell and HP servers is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience from a similar Engineering role. Vendor accreditations from HP, Lenovo and Dell would be advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills required.
  • Printer repair and an understanding of mechanical print process is essential.
  • Printer driver and connectivity—local & network experience is required.
  • PC hardware/software experience required.
  • Server hardware experience required.
  • Excellent customer service and client interfacing skills essential.
  • Knowledge of printers including Hewlett Packard, Sharp, Xerox, Kyocera, Canon, Printek, Oki and Tally; advantage.
  • Software basic skills would also be an advantage.
  • To be a Company Ambassador representing the company with a high standard of work ethic.
  • To be flexible and willing to carry out additional duties as and when required.
  • To adhere to Group Information Security Policy.
  • Working to ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards at all times.
  • Any other duties as required.
