Job summary

A technology services firm is seeking an IT Engineer to perform upgrades to Windows 11 on laptops across various sites. The role requires significant field engineering experience, a valid UK driving license, and the ability to work independently. Successful candidates will be compensated at a rate of £175 per day and are expected to complete multiple site tasks daily. Travel will be required, and completion of a DBS check is necessary.

Qualifications

• PC upgrade/deployment experience.
• Proven field engineering background with ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle, valid business insurance and MOT required.
• Smart phone for sign off.
• DBS check will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade Windows 11 onto laptops.
• Run a script on every PC/laptop.
• Perform testing and obtain site sign-off.
• Complete 3 sites per day, starting from 9am.

Job description

Job Title: IT Engineer
Location: Engineers based in own regions, travel will be required
Contract Duration: 3-4 weeks (1st September start)
Rate: 175 per day, Outside IR35

Engineers will be required to:

• Upgrade windows 11 onto laptops
• Run a script on every PC/ laptop
• Perform testing and obtain site sign-off
• Each engineer will complete 3 sites per day, starting from 9am

What We're Looking For:

• PC upgrade/deployment experience
• Proven field engineering background with ability to work independently
• Full UK driving license and own vehicle (valid business insurance and MOT, MUST be supplied)
• Smart phone for sign off
• DBS check will be completed

Job Details & Benefits:

• Pay: 175 per day
• Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday - Friday
• Payment: Outside IR35, weekly via umbrella company or Ltd (Ltd company contractors must supply relevant insurance)
